TrailCamSetup exists because most trail camera frustration is a setup problem: a cellular camera in a spot with one bar, alkaline batteries in the cold, a 128GB card in a camera that only reads 32GB, a camera aimed straight down a trail that fires after the deer has passed. The site's job is to get those decisions right before money is spent.

How we work

We research. Picks come from published specifications, brand plan lists and verified owner reviews, and every figure on a calculator is labelled as published, an engineering estimate or a field rule of thumb.
